I have been so worried over the last few months because I was made redundant and there are not many jobs about. I thought that I might be out of work for a long time and was not finding much in the local papers that I could do. I did not really want to go and work in the local supermarket or McDonald’s but it seemed like I would have to do that. However, on my final look in the paper before applying for that sort of job, II found something advertised for the local PCB manufacturer. I have worked with printed circuit boards before and so I was really hoping that would help me to get the job. It worked, because although there were a lot of candidates I managed to get the job and I am so relieved. It is hard to describe how good it feels when you know that you will be able to support your family again, just like you should always be able to do. It also really boosted my confidence as I knew that there were a lot of good candidates and so I must have impressed them somewhere which is great. I start the new job on Monday and I am so looking forward to having a purpose again.
